The New Mexico Goatheads have acquired forward Cameron Buhl from the Rapid City Rush in exchange for future considerations.
Buhl joins New Mexico after a career-best season with Rapid City in 2025-26, where he recorded 21 goals and 12 assists for 33 points in 66 games. His 21 goals marked a new career high and gave the Rush another consistent scoring option throughout the season.
The forward has spent the past two seasons in the ECHL, also seeing time with the Utah Grizzlies and Savannah Ghost Pirates during the 2024-25 campaign. Between the two clubs, Buhl appeared in 49 games and totaled eight points.
Buhl now heads to the High Desert looking to build on his breakout season as the Goatheads prepare for their inaugural campaign.
