The New Mexico Goatheads have invited forward Graeme McCrory to training camp on a Professional Tryout (PTO), giving the 26-year-old an opportunity to compete for a spot on the team’s inaugural roster.
McCrory comes to New Mexico following a strong rookie professional season with the Fayetteville Marksmen of the SPHL, where he recorded 29 points (11 goals, 18 assists) in 49 games.
“Graeme McCrory is a competitive player who brings energy and a strong work ethic,” said Head Coach Zack Stortini. “We’re looking forward to getting him into training camp, seeing how he competes with our group and giving him the opportunity to earn a spot.”
McCrory’s performance during his first professional season also earned him a month-long call-up to the ECHL’s Greensboro Gargoyles. He appeared in 11 games with Greensboro, recording two points (1 goal, 1 assist) before returning to Fayetteville.
Prior to turning professional, the Oshawa, Ontario native played four seasons of NCAA Division III hockey at Stevenson University. McCrory appeared in 109 games for the Mustangs, recording 45 points (19 goals, 26 assists), including a collegiate career-high 18 points during his senior season.
McCrory will look to earn a spot with the Goatheads when the team opens training camp ahead of the inaugural 2026-27 season.
