Opening Night Single-Game Tickets Officially Sold Out

Opening Night Single-Game Tickets Officially Sold Out

The first game in New Mexico Goatheads history will be played in front of a packed house.

Single-game tickets for the Goatheads’ inaugural game on Friday, Oct. 16, against the Idaho Steelheads at the Rio Rancho Events Center are officially sold out.

The sellout marks another major milestone for the organization as the Goatheads prepare to drop the puck on their inaugural 2026-27 season, presented by Isleta Resort & Casino.

“The response we’ve received from fans across New Mexico since announcing this team has been incredible, and selling out single-game tickets for our first game is another example of the excitement surrounding Goatheads hockey,” said General Manager and Alternate Governor Jared Johnson. “October 16 is going to be a special night for our organization, our players and everyone who has helped bring professional hockey back to New Mexico. We can’t wait to see the Rio Rancho Events Center packed for the first puck drop in franchise history.”

While individual tickets for Opening Night are sold out, fans still have an opportunity to be in the building on Oct. 16. Limited Opening Night inventory remains available through Full Season, Half Season and Quarter Season Ticket Memberships.

The historic night will kick off a three-game Opening Weekend presented by Del Norte Credit Union, with the Goatheads hosting the Idaho Steelheads on Friday, Oct. 16, Saturday, Oct. 17 and Sunday, Oct. 18 at the Rio Rancho Events Center.

Fans who miss out on Friday can still be part of the Goatheads’ first weekend on the ice, with limited single-game tickets remaining for both Saturday and Sunday.

With Opening Night single-game tickets already gone, fans are encouraged to secure their seats for the remainder of Opening Weekend and the Goatheads’ 36-game inaugural home schedule.
