The inaugural camp roster brings together a mix of established professional experience and young players looking to take the next step in their careers. Several members of the group enter camp after spending time at the AHL level during the preseason.
Ahcan, Barlage, Barbashev, Breen and Chiasson participated in training camp with the Colorado Eagles, while Seaman and Wood attended camp with the Manitoba Moose. Ahcan, Barbashev and Chiasson also participated in Colorado Avalanche Rookie Camp earlier in the preseason.
Arcuri, Friesen, Hedden, Kovacevic, Miska and Saville were assigned to New Mexico from the Colorado Eagles following AHL training camp, adding six players to the Goatheads training camp roster.
The group will now come together in New Mexico as Stortini and the Goatheads coaching staff begin evaluating players and preparing for the franchise’s inaugural season.
The Goatheads drop the puck on their inaugural regular season Friday, Oct. 16, against the Idaho Steelheads at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
