The New Mexico Goatheads have announced a new partnership with New Mexico Orthopaedic Associates, P.C. ahead of the team’s inaugural 2026-27 season.
Serving patients throughout the Albuquerque metro area since 1983, New Mexico Orthopaedics is New Mexico’s only independent, physician-owned orthopaedic practice. Its team of orthopaedic, sports medicine and spine care physicians provides diagnosis, treatment, surgery and rehabilitation within one practice.
“We’re proud to partner with New Mexico Orthopaedics as we prepare for our inaugural season,” said Goatheads General Manager and Alternate Governor Jared Johnson. “Their history in New Mexico, commitment to the community and experience working with athletes make them a great fit for our organization. We’re excited to have them as part of the Goatheads family.”
New Mexico Orthopaedics provides care for sports-related injuries, arthritis, osteoporosis and injuries involving muscles, joints, bones and the spine. The practice also operates its own surgery center and works with Presbyterian, Lovelace and UNM Sandoval Regional Medical Center for cases requiring hospitalization.
The partnership will begin with the Goatheads’ inaugural season, which opens Friday, Oct. 16 against the Idaho Steelheads at the Rio Rancho Events Center.
